HDB named 30 projects for its HDB Awards on 25 Sept 2026. The two to watch are Berlayar Residences and Mount Pleasant Crest, the first BTOs in two new estates. Both were designed on the standard unit plans HDB has required for new projects put up for design tender since Dec 2023.
For a BTO applicant, that changes what you're comparing. On newer projects, the bedrooms and bathrooms are converging. The real differences now sit in the estate, the blocks, and part of the living area.
